Getting Back On Track

Hey Everyone!

I’ve been writing those two above words for 12 years now!
With every note I hope we have grown closer.

Over the last few months, however, our lives have sped up and we haven’t done a good job sharing it with you. We miss that and you…so here we go!

If you didn’t know we are now in Black Mountain North Carolina just outside of Asheville.

I am the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Montreat College.
I was blessed to serve a passionate group of young men this year and we were blessed to accomplish our goals. We won our conference tournament and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in school history. www.montreartcavaliers.com

Staci has found a midwife again and is set to finish her journey by next March. She has been able to assist on many births already and is back to the books every weeknight. She is also homeschooling the girls and they are already reading on their own!

Analyse has found ballet and Adaniah is following daddy with a soccer ball at her feet. Lukah is repeating every word we say and has become the gentle leader of this home. They love it here but are more excited about hopes we have to move to a small farm to raise sheep and chickens!

Now that times have slowed we are trying to get back on track.
As most of you know we have been given a huge vision to help change the lives others through what we call the vineyard vision. The first step in this has always been to find the right relationships and move our family onto a small farm or vineyard. We have recommitted to this step and are faithfully waiting for this to manifest. Hope you can keep that in your prayers.

Please let us know what you are up to and have a blessed start to your new year.

Hey Everyone 12/8/10

Hey Everyone!!

It's been a long time between updates!
However, the time away has been nothing
but empty of things to tell you about.
Here is the quick rundown of the last 6 months

First
We moved to Lookout Mountain Georgia and Shane is now
the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Covenant College.
Go check it out
www.covenant.edu

Next
We had to say goodbye to our awesome home in the woods but,
have settled into a new little place on the Mountain and are loving our new community!
Analyse and Niah have started a Home School Co-op that rocks
and
Lukah has started to talk…ball, up, mama!

Most recently
Shane's team placed 4th at the 2010
NCCAA National Championships!
This was a huge step during their transition into the NCAA DIII.
Well done Scots!!

What next??
Staci has found a midwife down in Chattanooga!
She will begin working as an apprentice this month.
She will also take a day a week to continue toward finishing
her midwifery certification.
Please keep her in your prayers...
She doesn't like the idea of leaving the little ones with me...
I think it's just she'll be away from her "Little Man Man".

Shane has been asked to help lead a team of students here at the college
on a mission trip to
Haiti.
They leave March 4th for little over a week.
They will build shelters and hopefully partner up
with our long time friend, Jonna and her medical outreach.
Jonna was with us in the Philippines and
helped bring Analyse into the world.

Our Hope for the Future
The last update we sent out we told you of
our hope to return to the mission field.
This hasn't changed.
In fact, the vision has greatly developed since
we first were given the nudge.

Below you will see the desires of our hearts!

The Vineyard

Be looking for more on this soon.
